History
The 3D Global Group entered the market in December 2017. It operates successfully worldwide with its 3D solutions for a new era of autostereoscopic 3D experiences. 3D Global products are modern glasses-free 3D screens and system solutions based on a patented 3D filter technology. They enable a unique experience of true three-dimensional viewing without glasses.
3D Global controls the entire value chain of the development and production of its 3D screens, enabling them to be used for special applications.
Together with our partners we have been optimised camera systems and image processing to the point where customers receive the best possible live images on globally unique 3D screens.
According to estimates, 10 percent of the screens installed worldwide will have a 3D function if this technology could be built to a high standard. An enormous market potential. We are making a contribution to this. The omnipresent digitalisation is also making its way into microscopy. If you want to see in three dimensions with a conventional stereo microscope, digitise documentation via image and video, see presentations of content on several screens simultaneously or train new professionals, this always requires a 3D screen.
3D vision without 3D glasses is a new technology that we want to make known. We believe it can help in many areas and provide work with a relevant advantage: spatial vision. In our daily work, we are used to perceiving with our eyes front and back naturally in 3D. The working world is becoming more and more digital and work is increasingly done on the screen. In contrast to the patented 3D Global screens we use, current screens on the market do not support 3D vision. Especially when doing fine work on the microscope, conventional screens show their limitations when it comes to spatial effects, digitisation and documentation. The 3D view that is now possible helps users in a wide range of industries to secure and even increase the quality standard of their work results: The depth of the object becomes optimally visible and “tangible” for him and the processor gets a better feeling for distances between objects, height differences of the structure, surfaces and shapes. The user benefits from the real-time display on the 3D screen to carefully carry out and document his precision work with a “real” 3D view. Be it assembly of the smallest components, inspection, quality assurance or manufacturing of components, highly complex medical operations, drilling, solder joint inspection or many other micro technologies. We believe that many potential business partners can sell significantly more of their products and secure a unique selling proposition by combining a product with a 3D screen. 3D digital microscopy is a highly attractive technology with great benefits that is now available and can be applied in many different ways. We want to support this because the entire screen industry has migrated from Germany and Europe to Asia. That is why we design, develop and manufacture our screens entirely in Germany, true to the motto MADE IN GERMANY.

1992Dr. Matthias Hohenstein schließt sein Physik-Studium mit einer Doktorarbeit über Holografie und Bildverarbeitung in der Elektronenmikroskopie ab.

Gründung der ProDigital (heutige ProDevelop) durch Dr. Matthias Hohenstein, Bereich Datenbanken, Internetlösungen, Fahrzeugdiagnose
1992Verkauf der ProDigital an einen weltweiten Konzern
2001
Brillenlose 3D-Bildschirme werden zum Fokus der Secco GmbH. Ullrich Dähnert zeigt, dass dieser Ansatz grundsätzlich funktioniert.
Ab 2010
Limitierend sind derzeit noch die geringe Bildschirmauflösung, wenig Rechenleistung und der geringe Bedarf an 3D-Darstellungen. Die Forschungsarbeiten werden über viele Patente abgesichert. Die Secco wird zu dem „Geheimtipp“ für frühe 3D-Projekte und 3D-Bildschirme ohne Brille.
2010
Ullrich Dähnert und Matthias Hohenstein lernen sich kennen und teilen die Begeisterung der Vision und Möglichkeit mit höher auflösenden Bildschirmen, mehr Präzision in der Fertigung, besserer Software und mehr Rechenleistung „perfekte“ 3D Bildschirme zu bauen.
2014
Die Hohenstein Verwaltungs-GmbH beteiligt sich bei der Secco, erste größere Investitionen werden möglich.
2015
Die Unger Capital Management GmbH steigt als Investor der 3D Global Gruppe ein.
2016
Ullrich Dähnert, Peter Unger und Matthias Hohenstein entscheiden die 3D Global-Gruppe zu gründen, aufbauend auf der Secco.
2017
Michael Russo und ein weiterer führender Mitarbeiter der ehemaligen TriDelity AG werden übernommen. Das Know-How der 3D Global Gruppe wächst erneut.
Ab 2017
3D Global Solutions wird gegründet. Die Gesellschaft übernimmt die Vertriebstätigkeiten in der 3D Global-Gruppe.
2017
Es wird gebaut. Ullrich Dähnert konzipiert Reinräume, Infrastruktur und neue Maschinen.
Ab 2018
Die neu gebauten Werkstätten, Reinräume und Labore gehen in Betrieb. Die 3D Global-Gruppe ist nun völlig unabhängig, alles wesentlichen Prozessschritte des Kerngeschäfts werden selbst konzipiert und durchgeführt.
2019
Die UX3D mit Norbert Nopper kommt zur 3D Global-Gruppe hinzu. Damit wird weiteres Wissen über 3D engines, gltf, openXR, webXR, also Software und Methoden um die Anzeige von 3D Objekten weiter verbessert.
2019Erste Prototypen von 3D-Bildschirmen zeigen signifikante Verbesserungen im Vergleich zu allen bisher produzierten Geräten.
2020
Die Bildqualität verbessert sich weiter durch weiterentwickelte Software.
Ab 2021
Über ein weiteres Produktionsverfahren wird eine nochmals höhere Präzision erreicht. Auf Basis der erreichten Bildschirmqualität wird das erste Produkt, Scalereo, konzipiert. Hierbei werden wir von unserem Partner CalvaSens unter Leitung von Daniel Lutz hervorragend unterstützt.
Ab Ende 2021
Im Herbst 2021 wird das SCALEREO 3D-Digitalmikroskop erstmals auf Messen gezeigt. Der Messestand wird von begeisterten Interessenten „belagert“.
Herbst 2021
Erstmuster des SCALEREO 3D-Mikroskops werden unseren Geschäftspartnern zur Verfügung gestellt.
2022
Aktives Marketing und der Verkauf der Seriengeräte beginnt im April, ein Meilenstein für die 3D Global Gruppe!
